1. The Curated plate
A key food events being held in the later part of 2025 is The Curated Plate. The Curated Plate is a 10-day celebration of local produce, talented chefs, and culinary experiences happening across the Sunshine Coast. There are a number of events and locations that will be held on the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. The full program for 2025 is available here.
One of the featured events is the Sunshine Coast Asian Food Festival held at Tamarind Restaurant Maleny. There are a number of other events to be held on the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. One such event is the Hinterland Producers Lunch on Sunday the 27th July, at Spicers Clovelly Estate. Several events are happening at Spill Wine, Maleny, one is the Coast to Hinterland Wine Tasting experience on Saturday the 27th July. Maleny Cheese will be hosting High Cheese a La Swiss on Friday the 1st August and Saturday the 2nd August.
2. sunshine coast hinterland event – Maleny wedding festival
If you are planning a wedding within the next 12 months, then head along to the Maleny Wedding Festival Trail on Sunday 27th July 2025. Register to attend through the Visit Sunshine Hinterland site. A number of venues and suppliers will be showcasing their services.
This event is a great opportunity to see and experience exactly how your wedding day may look and feel.

3. sunshine coast hinterland event – Arts Alive in Maleny
Arts Alive is happening in the main street of Maleny on Saturday the 2nd of August from 6-10pm. It will bring the incredible talent in the area together in this event for the senses. 4. sunshine coast hinterland event – Canlelight concerts
On our list of events for the Sunshine Coast Hinterland in 2025 we couldn’t miss the Candlelight concerts held at Flaxton Gardens.These concerts are an opportunity to listen to music in a beautiful setting. Over the next few months Flaxton Gardens are hosting a number of different concerts. Some of the concerts coming this year include; a tribute to Fleetwood Mac, Vivaldi Four Seasons and the best of Hans Zimmer. These concerts are suitable for the whole family. 5. sunshine coast hinterland event – rangebow festival
The Rangebow festival is happening in the later part of 2025. From the 9th to the 12th October. It is a diverse and creative not-for-profit festival at multiple sites across the Sunshine Coast Hinterland: Maleny, Montville, Flaxton and Mapleton.
The festival program features film, theatre, arts, taste, music, nature and cultural events to celebrate community, diversity, inclusivity, reconciliation, sustainability, creativity and expression.
In 2025, The Rangebow Festival will feature over 30 events and activities across four days. Featuring world premieres, authentic first nations cultural experiences, cabaret, drag and unique nature, opera and music experiences and performances. 6. sunshine coast hinterland event – maleny music festival
If you love tapping your foot along to a great tune then come along to the Maleny Music Festival. This event is happening from 7-9th November. The Maleny Music Festival is three days of music. This is a relaxing, family friendly event filled with so many talented musicians and performing artists. There are market stalls, workshops, jamming sessions, open mic opportunities and bush poetry in the program. The festival organisers have planned plenty of food and drink options with places to sit and melt into the music. This community event is run by volunteers and is held every year in November at the Maleny Showgrounds.
7. Sunshine coast hinterland event – sculpture on the edge
One of the last events happening on the Sunshine Coast Hinterland in 2025 is Sculpture on the Edge. This 9 day event is from 23rd November to 1 December in 2025 and is hosted by Flaxton Gardens. The event is a ticketed event open from 8 am – 2pm daily. Come along to view a wide selection of indoor and outdoor art work. All art pieces are available to purchase. While there, enjoy a delicious meal or drink with views of the coast.
