The Maleny Music Festival is the first of two major events happening on the Sunshine Coast Hinterland for November and December. If you love tapping your foot along to a great tune then come along to the Maleny Music Festival. This event is happening from 7-9th November. The Maleny Music Festival is three days of music. This is a relaxing, family friendly event filled with so many talented musicians and performing artists. There are market stalls, workshops, jamming sessions, open mic opportunities and bush poetry in the program. The festival organisers have planned plenty of food and drink options with places to sit and melt into the music. This community event is run by volunteers and is held every year in November at the Maleny Showgrounds.

The Woodford Folk Festival is the last major events of the year happening on the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. We had been to the Woodford Folk Festival several times over the years, and now that we live in Maleny we have camped there for a full week the last two years. It is a fabulous, family friendly week long festival. With events starting on December 27th through to New Year’s Eve. Woodford Fold Festival has something for everyone.
The Festival includes local and world class music, workshops, presenters, food, cultural events and loads of options for the whole family. The full programme is available on the Woodford Folk Festival website. You can go for a day or the whole week, with loads of parking available or take the Woodford Express from Brisbane. Another option is to stay at Tranquil Getaways On Obi Maleny and do day trips as Woodford is an easy 30 minute drive from Maleny.
