There are a load of events happening in 2026 on the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. It is always a good idea to plan to visit this beautiful area, however these events will bring even more to your visit. Maleny show
A highlight of the Sunshine Coast Hinterland calendar is the Maleny Show. Bring the family along to a great country show. The Maleny show is over the weekend of 29-30 May. Loads of entertainment, food and displays of local products. A crowd favourite event is the woodchop, showing precision, strength and speed. This year the FLAIR action sports will be showcasing their gravity defying tricks on motorbikes and bicycles. Book one of our villas and you can walk to all the action.
the Curated Plate
The Curated Plate is a 10-day celebration of local produce, talented chefs, and unforgettable culinary experiences set against the stunning backdrop of the Sunshine Coast. In 2026 the Curated Plate will run from 24th July to 2nd August. There are a number of events and locations to select from across the program. Candlelight Concerts
Perhaps you are looking for a different way to spend your evening enjoying music. You might consider heading to a candlelight concert hosted at Flaxton Gardens. These concerts are an opportunity to listen to music in a beautiful setting. Over the next few months Flaxton Gardens are hosting a number of different concerts. Rangebow Festival
Rangebow festival is happening again in 2026. The dates this year are from the 9-11 October. It is a diverse and creative not-for-profit festival at multiple sites across the Sunshine Coast Hinterland: Maleny, Montville, Flaxton and Mapleton.
The festival program features film, theatre, arts, taste, music, nature and cultural events to celebrate community, diversity, inclusivity, reconciliation, sustainability, creativity and expression.
In 2026, The Rangebow Festival will feature over 30 events and activities across four days featuring world premieres, authentic first nations food and cultural experiences, cabaret, drag and unique nature, opera and music experiences and performances. - Sculpture on the Edge
Sculpture on the Edge
In the later part of the year one event happening on the Sunshine Coast Hinterland is Sculpture on the Edge. This 9 day event is from 28th November to 6 December in 2026 and is hosted by Flaxton Gardens. The event is a ticketed event open from 8 am – 2pm daily. Come along to view a wide selection of indoor and outdoor art work. All art pieces are available to purchase. While there, enjoy a delicious meal or drink with views of the coast.
Yoga Retreats
This year we are hosting two yoga retreats at Tranquil Getaway On Obi. Enjoy some time to reset with this relaxation package of yoga, mindfulness and exploration of the local area.
